CSP MUSIC GROUP AND HY-VEE SUPERMARKETS TO ENGAGE YOUTH VOLUNTEERS
TO SUPPORT HUNGER RELIEF PROGRAM IN WATERLOO
A food drive benefitting the Northeast Iowa Food Bank will help Iowans in need

CSP Music Group (www.cspmusicgroup.com), a team of accomplished music producers, composers and writers whose “The Next Pop Icon” talent search will be presented in Waterloo on April 30th, has joined with HYPERLINK "https://www.hy-vee.com" Hy-Vee supermarket chains to assist the HYPERLINK "https://www.northeastiowafoodbank.org" Northeast Iowa Food Bank (NEIFB) in their mission to combat hunger in America. The Northeast Iowa Food Bank provides nutritious food products to nonprofit organizations and individuals in Northeast Iowa. The program is a member of HYPERLINK "https://www.feedingamerica.org" Feeding America, the largest national hunger relief organization in the United States.

As part of CSP’s campaign to give back to the community and mentor city youths, students from the ages of 12-18, who reside in the Waterloo district, will volunteer their services at select locations for donations of non-perishable canned goods to be donated to the NEIFB. Chaperoned by members of CSP Music Group, the students will be on-site at local Hy-Vee supermarkets on Byron Avenue, Logan Avenue, Crossroads and College Square on April 2nd and April 9th from 12 noon – 4:00 p.m.
“It is important not only to highlight the talents of individuals at the talent search, but to also engage our youth in a community service that can alleviate depressed conditions within the neighborhood. Including kids in the food drive gives them a sense of responsibility to their community, as well as an awareness of the economic struggles amongst those less fortunate,” expressed Christopher Starr, a principal of CSP Music Group and Atlanta-based music producer who grew up in Waterloo.

It is estimated that one out of every eight Iowans goes to bed hungry. At least 40,000 Northeast Iowa residents—including nearly 16,000 children and almost 4,000 seniors—receive emergency food assistance each year from the Northeast Iowa Food Bank and its member agencies.

CSP Music Group will present “ HYPERLINK "https://www.facebook.com/TheNextPopIcon" The Next Pop Icon” talent search on Saturday, April 30th in an effort to showcase Iowa’s burgeoning performers. Ten finalists will be selected to perform in front of a panel of top music industry professionals. One stand-out star will win a grand prize music production package valued at $100,000. Staged at the Elizabeth A.H. Green Auditorium, the event begins at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. The deadline to enter the talent search is April 15.
