TAQO Announces Release of New Single “O’s”

Rising rap artist TAQO will release his highly anticipated single “O’s” in the first week of September. The track marks another step in his journey from the streets of Columbia, South Carolina to the global stage. Known for raw storytelling and unapologetic authenticity, TAQO captures the grind, hunger, and ambition that shape his life and his music.

Emerging from North Main’s Ashley Apartments and other Section 8 communities, TAQO’s upbringing in environments marked by violence, poverty, and systemic struggle gave him a distinct voice in trap and rap. Music became his lifeline, a way to turn pain into power and hardship into fuel. With “O’s,” he channels those experiences into a hard-hitting anthem about perseverance, hustle, and the pursuit of success.

“Every song I make is a piece of my story,” says TAQO. “O’s is about survival and ambition, pushing through where you come from and getting to where you want to be.”

The new single follows TAQO’s 2023 release “Feel Like Pac,” a fan favorite that paid homage to Tupac Shakur while establishing TAQO’s own voice as a new force in hip hop. Over the past decade, he has sharpened his craft with a signature style influenced by Jay-Z, Future, Tupac, Jeezy, and Project Pat, yet the sound remains entirely his own. His organic, no-pen approach to lyricism produces songs that feel spontaneous, emotional, and authentic.

TAQO’s reputation grew further with a 2025 win in the Konnected Tour Contest, a feature in Konnected Magazine, and a subsequent tour that showcased his stage presence. A self-sufficient creator, he writes, performs, records, and mixes independently, maintaining full control of his sound.
