The encouragement he received from his community when he first began creating music inspired him to continue developing his craft and ultimately pursue a career as a professional artist.
His sound is warm, distinct, and emotionally resonant. TankOnEm’s music reflects a deep understanding of emotion, offering comfort and empowerment to listeners who may struggle with self-control, emotional balance, or personal growth. Through his lyrics and melodic choices, he seeks to remind people of what is possible when they remain focused and believe in themselves regardless of life’s challenges.
TankOnEm began making music in December 2019, first discovering his talent while freestyling in the car with friends. What started as a hobby quickly became a passion as he realized how naturally he adapted to the art form. For him, music is not only a creative outlet but also a calling, a way to express purpose, resilience, and determination.
When creating new material, TankOnEm takes a thoughtful yet intuitive approach. Each song begins with a clear idea of its tone and message before the remaining elements fall naturally into place. Although he primarily works independently, he collaborates closely with professional engineers to ensure every track meets his standards of quality.
His growing catalog includes the Amber Alert EP, released on March 17, 2021, which featured five tracks and marked a key milestone in his career. In 2022, he released First Day Out Freestyle Remix, further showcasing his versatility and lyrical confidence. His single “Love Me Or Not,” released on September 4, 2024, received promotional support from Kollege Kidd prior to its debut, signaling TankOnEm’s increasing visibility.
